Charismatic, warm and cuddly in bright dazzling clothes, she cut an exotic but nurturing mother figure – as far away as you can get from a ‘yummy mummy’. She appeared to have given up all interest in herself and all vanity. The kids came first. We all know mothers like that. But they are mothers to their own children.
